Jeep Hire Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to all bookings made with JP04 Jeep (jpjeep.co.uk) ("JP04 Jeep", "we", "us"). By paying a deposit or booking fee, you ("the Client") accept these terms.

The Service

We provide a chauffeur driven hire service using a 1993 Jeep Wrangler YJ presented as a Jurassic Park replica. The vehicle is driven by us at all times, self drive is not available.

The Jeep carries a maximum of 3 passengers plus the driver, and all passengers must wear seatbelts throughout the journey. A step is carried to help with getting in and out. Please note that child seats cannot be fitted, so passengers need to be able to use the standard seatbelts.

Bookings and Payment

A booking is confirmed once we've received a deposit of 20% of the agreed hire price and the date has been confirmed in writing, email, WhatsApp or text all work fine.

The remaining balance is due 14 days before your event. If you're booking within 14 days of the event, the full amount is due at the time of booking.

Prices are as quoted at the time of booking. We're not VAT registered, so there's no VAT to add.

Your quote covers the agreed route, timings and hire duration. If you'd like to add extra stops, mileage or time on the day, we're happy to look at it, but we'll always agree any extra charge with you first.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel, the deposit isn't refundable as it holds your date and means we turn away other enquiries. If you cancel more than 14 days before your event, nothing further is owed beyond the deposit. Inside 14 days, the full hire price is payable.

Need to move your date instead? Just ask, if the new date is free we'll simply transfer your deposit across.

If We Can't Make It

Our Jeep is a much loved classic over 30 years old, and while it's well maintained, breakdowns are an inherent risk with any vehicle of this age.

If we're ever unable to provide the service for any reason, we'll let you know as soon as we possibly can and refund everything you've paid, including your deposit, in full. If a breakdown happens partway through your hire, we'll do everything we can to get you where you're going, and refund a fair portion of the price for any part of the day we couldn't deliver.

Timings and Delays

We always aim to run to the schedule we've agreed, but traffic, road closures and weather are outside of our control. If your event is time sensitive, like a wedding ceremony, we build in a sensible buffer, and we'd recommend you do the same.

Roof Up or Roof Off

Let us know your preference for roof up or off when you book. On the day, the final call rests with the driver based on the weather, purely for everyone's safety and comfort. As an open top classic, if the roof is off you'll be enjoying the elements too, so dress for it.

During Your Hire

For everyone's comfort, we ask for no smoking or vaping in the vehicle, and please check with us first if you'd like to bring food or drink on board.

We want every hire to be a great experience, so we may need to end a booking early without refund if a passenger's behaviour puts the safety of the driver, other passengers or the vehicle at risk. If any damage or extra cleaning is needed as a result of the client's party, we'll pass on the cost at the price we're charged, with receipts provided.

Decorations

Fancy adding ribbons or decorations for a wedding or event? Just run it by us first, we'll fit them ourselves to make sure the paintwork and trim stay protected.

Photos and Social Media

We often take photos or video during your hire to share on our website and social media, tag us at instagram.com/jp04jeep if you'd like to share your own too. If you'd rather we didn't post anything from your hire, just let us know beforehand and we won't.

Bookings Through an Agent

If your booking comes through Star Car Hire, another agent, or a production company, the terms of that agreement take precedence over these ones where they differ.

Static Displays

For static display bookings at shows, fairs or events, the same booking, deposit and cancellation terms above apply.

The Jeep stays under our control throughout, and while we'll position it as agreed with the organiser, we may need to move, cover or withdraw it for safety, security or weather reasons.

The vehicle is for viewing and photos only during static display, we ask that members of the public don't sit in, climb on or touch it. Photography by attendees is always welcome, but please get in touch first for any commercial use of images.

The event organiser is responsible for a safe display spot, clear access for the Jeep to arrive and leave, and an unobstructed route out unless otherwise agreed.

Our Liability

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or anything else that can't be limited by law. Beyond that, our liability for any booking is limited to the amount you've paid us for it, and we're not responsible for personal belongings left in the vehicle.

A Few Final Notes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If any part of them is ever found unenforceable, the rest remain in force. These terms were last updated in August 2026 and may be revised from time to time, the version in force at the time of your booking is the one that applies.
